In Ukraine, volunteer and combat medic from Great Britain Peter Fouche died at the front. This was reported by the Project Konstantin charity foundation, founded by the deceased.
“On the shield: Peter “Hasta La Vista” Fouche. It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Pete, our beloved director and founder,” the message read.
It is reported that the British medic saved more than 200 wounded Ukrainian soldiers, participated in the evacuation of civilians from the front territories, and also delivered humanitarian aid to them.
“Pete’s courage and dedication in the face of danger was incredible, what he did will live forever in our hearts. Pete was more than a leader. He was a beacon of hope, a true hero and a true friend to us all. His wisdom, compassion and faith that God inspired us every day,” wrote Peter’s friends from Project Konstantin.
It is known from the media that Peter used to live in London, where he worked as a policeman and carpenter, and in March 2022 he left for Ukraine, where he became a volunteer, helping to create a field hospital in Brovary near Kiev, and then, after medical training, joined the defense of the territory.
Peter Fouché took part in the creation of the charitable foundation Project Konstantin (named after one of his fallen comrades), which evacuated wounded soldiers, and in January 2024 he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces as a combat medic.
In February 2024, a British volunteer made an emotional appeal to Western governments to immediately transfer promised military aid to Ukraine.
At the end of May, it became known that a volunteer from the Netherlands died in Ukraine. The man fought in the International Legion and died on May 20 near Clock Yar.
It was also reported that Georgian soldier Sergo Gornakashvili died fighting for Ukraine. He died in the direction of Kharkov.
