Voting in the first round of parliamentary elections has ended in France. According to exit polls, the far-right National Rally party won the first round, Le Figaro reported on Sunday, June 30.
Thus, according to the Ifop exit poll, the National Rally Party, whose formal leader is Marine Le Pen, received the support of 34.2% of voters.
The ultra-left Popular Front was in second place with 29.1% of the vote. But President Emmanuel Macron’s political force Renaissance was in third place with 21.5% of the vote.
The turnout in the first round of parliamentary elections in France was the highest in almost 50 years and, preliminary, reached 69.7%.
