Europe is in crisis, the European Union is declining and, in general, the entire Christian civilization is disappearing, the head of the Hungarian government believes.
According to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, “the West has made many wrong political decisions in recent years,” in particular, considering the war in Ukraine as its own and striving for victory against Russia. This is stated in the article of the head of the Hungarian government entitled “Change and Redesign”, published in the magazine Magyar Nemzet on Saturday, June 29.
“The bureaucrats in Brussels want this war, they see it as their own, and they want to defeat Russia. European citizens’ money continues to flow into Ukraine, European companies are shot in the foot by sanctions, inflation has increased, and millions of European citizens are facing difficulties in life,” – wrote Viktor Orban.
In his opinion, “Europe is in crisis, the European Union is declining, like the whole Christian civilization.”
Commenting on the European Parliament elections, he noted that “the European People’s Party gathered votes promising change, but after the election they united with socialists and liberals who put Europe at risk.”
“The European People’s Party and other left-wing parties… entered into a shameful agreement and began to share power. This is a clear excess of the powers given to us by the voters. The pro-war coalition is “The only goal of this pro-war pact is to keep the Brussels elite in power for at least one more year to plunge Europe into crisis,” Orban said.
He also called the European Union’s economic policy a failure and said that “the green strategy is wrong.”
“Europe now uses more coal, and energy prices are higher than five years ago European farmers protested every day, and meanwhile Ukrainian agricultural products with dubious quality is sold at dumping prices,” complained the head of the Hungarian government.
Earlier, the media published 11 requests from Hungary to Ukraine. Budapest demands that all settlements in Transcarpathia be recognized as “traditionally Hungarian”, even those not yet inhabited by Hungarians.
It was also reported that Hungary is currently delaying seven decisions in Ukraine worth 6.6 billion euros.
