By the end of June, more than 2.3 million citizens of Ukraine had used the services of CPP Intercity.
Polish railway carrier CPP Intercity has stopped providing free tickets to refugees from Ukraine from July 1, the company’s press service reports.
Until June 30, citizens of Ukraine can travel free of charge only from cities and towns located on the eastern border of Poland, namely: Chelm, Dorohusk, Lublin, Hrubieszow, Przemysl, Zaguzh, Yaroslav and Rzeszow.
By the end of June, more than 2.3 million citizens of Ukraine had used the services of CPP Intercity.
“The last few months have confirmed the importance of CPP Intercity as a national passenger carrier. The rolling stock was provided in the shortest possible time, and hundreds of workers were recruited to receive the first wave of refugees. This time has proven that rail is a reliable means of transportation-as every day, and in crisis situations, ”the carrier emphasizes.
CPP Intercity reminded that there is a special hotline in Ukrainian for refugees from Ukraine.
Recall that from July 1, the Polish government will no longer pay 40 zlotys (about UAH 276) per day for food and accommodation for refugees from Ukraine.
