Lieutenant Colonel Anton Zadorozhny, commander of the Hurricane NSU brigade, was awarded the Cross of Military Merit.
“During one of the combat missions, he noticed the approach of an enemy group, opened fire from a machine gun and destroyed eight Russian invaders,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported.
The border guard of the Vengeance brigade, Chief Sergeant Kirill Chumachenko, also received the Cross of Military Merit.
“Leading the attack group, he destroyed several attackers on the enemy’s observation post, thanks to which he was able to approach and start a battle. Under heavy fire, the Russians retreated, and the former lost position has been restored,” the report said.
Police Colonel Alexey Katynsky was awarded the Order of Danylo Galitsky.
“Thanks to his professionalism, accusations from dozens of the most high-profile cases were sent to the court about: violation of the laws and customs of war, cruel treatment of the civilian population by the Russian army , cooperation activities, activities of criminal groups and organizations,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs said about the hero.
The Order for Courage, 2nd degree, was received by Colonel of the Civil Protection Service Yuri Tsykenyuk.
“He was involved in the seizure and neutralization of Russia’s most dangerous ammunition with which the enemy attacked the capital,” the report said.
