Now it is still early to need real rays for the winter, the situation will become more specific at the end of August. Now specialists need to predict the deficit, as well as know what the probable consumption and generation will be. This was stated by the general director of the energy company Yasno Sergey Kovalenko in an interview with Delo.ua.
According to him, some of the nuclear power plant units are currently undergoing repairs. These nuclear power plant units will start operating in the fall, and electricity generation will also increase at that time. Hydroelectric power plants and thermal power plants are also currently being repaired.
Kovalenko suggested that generation will increase by the fall, if we do not take into account shelling, which could make adjustments. But in winter, electricity consumption is highest. The light deficit can be 30-35%. In this case, there may not be 12 hours of light.
My base forecast is that there will be a deficit in the energy system of around 30-35%. What does this mean for consumers? If they supply critical infrastructure and then distribute the leftovers, then for consumers the deficit will be 50%. That is, the basic forecast is 12 hours without light,” he noted.
Also, the situation could be worse if the destroyed capacities are not restored and there is no agreement on imports.
Let us remind you that the Kyiv city military administration recently announced that the capital is planning to build thermal power plants that will use garbage as fuel. There will be two such thermal power plants – on the left and right banks.
