In Britain, representatives of about 20 NATO countries, Alliance partners and the European Union gathered to study and summarize the experience of conducting the main joint weapons training for the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on June 29.
The big symposium took place at one of the training grounds in the UK, where Ukrainian military personnel were trained as part of Operation Interflex.
It was attended by instructors, representatives of training operations and programs from various countries that directly organize, facilitate, support logistics and conduct training for the Ukrainian military both in the UK and in the EU .
Representatives of the British and Ukrainian Armed Forces presented and reviewed two years of experience in basic combined arms training as part of the multinational training operation Interflex in the United Kingdom.
Also, in the context of the Interflex training operation, the countries participating in the operation, in particular Canada, Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Australia, New Zealand, Romania, Lithuania, Netherlands, Estonia, Kosovo, discussed and shared their experience in the training of Ukrainian recruits.
In addition, the partner countries that are members of NATO and the European Union reported their experience in providing assistance in military training of Ukraine to various European countries as part of the EU’s mission to provide military assistance in Ukraine.
Separately, representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine shared the necessary observations to determine possible changes in current training based on their real combat experience in the Russian-Ukrainian war.
Ukrainian military personnel noted the changes that must be improved and implemented so that the program meets all the requirements of combat operations in Ukraine.
The General Staff noted that all participants in the symposium could attend training sessions of the Ukrainian military in urban areas and night training in the trenches.
The commander of the multinational training operation Interflex, British Army Colonel James Thurstan, said that Operation Interflex is a two-way exercise for all participants.
We remind you that the Finnish Ministry of Defense for the first time officially recognizes the training of Ukrainian military personnel on its territory.
It was also reported that Ukraine took part in NATO’s largest cyber exercise for the first time.
