The fictional Z-poet published translations of poems by Nazi authors on the social network, passing them off as patriotic. The content of the works did not change: in them, Germany became only Russia.
Russian anti-war activists created a fake social network account of the fictional Z-poet Gennady Rakitin and published 18 poems by Nazi authors translated into Russian under his name . Journalist Andrei Zakharov, familiar with the authors of the anti-war initiative, spoke about this on Friday, June 28.
In the year of the existence of the profile, “Rakitin” received a certificate from the organizers of the All-Russian Tvardovsky Competition of Patriotic Poetry, held by the Kaluga branch of the Union of Professional Writers. “Rakitin” was added as a friend of 95 deputies of the State Duma, 28 senators and Z-military correspondent.
In particular, among the friends of the “poet” were, for example, Andrei Klishas and Dmitry Rogozin. Rakitin’s work, in addition to z-publics, was published by propagandist Nikita Mikhalkov and Moscow magazine.
As investigative journalist Andrei Zakharov said, Gennady Rakitin’s account was created by his acquaintances who condemned the war. The profile picture is generated by a neural network, and the personal data of the “poet” is also completely fictional.
A year later, 18 poems by Nazi authors, translated into Russian, were published on Rakitin’s page. The content of the works remained almost unchanged: in them, Germany became only Russia, and the “nameless attack aircraft” became “nameless Wagner PPK fighter.” The poem “Leader”, dedicated to Vladimir Putin, became a translation of the work “The Fuhrer” by Eberhard Möller, a Nazi and anti-Semite, a member of the NSDAP. The poem “Before the Portrait,” also dedicated to the Russian president, is a translation of the poem “The Homers of the Stormtroopers.” Its author was Heribert Menzel, a stormtrooper and member of the NSDAP. The original was dedicated to Adolf Hitler.
We remind you that in Russia an application was filed against Putin for the rehabilitation of Nazism. The basis is Putin’s interview with American journalist Tucker Carlson, in which the head of the Russian Federation spoke about the events of World War II.
