The International Criminal Court (ICC) has postponed its consideration of issuing arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Defense Minister Galante on charges of war crimes during the operation in the Gaza Strip.

This was reported by The Jerusalem Post.
This happened after the UK, as a “second court”, filed an application on June 10 to submit comments on the jurisdiction of the International Criminal Court over Israel. Other countries can do this too. The Jerusalem Post notes that the entire process of issuing arrest warrants could then drag on for months.
Israel and the United States, as well as other Israeli allies, oppose the ISS’s jurisdiction over Netanyahu and Galant. US President Joe Biden called the ISS’s interference outrageous.
In May, the ICC prosecutor announced that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant, and three Hamas leaders (designated terrorist by the US and EU) were suspected of war crimes and crimes against humanity. He requested arrest warrants for them.
