The accident occurred on the international route where express trains run on the route Budapest-Bratislava-Prague.
At least six people were killed when a train and a bus collided near the town of Nove Zamky in southern Slovakia. The accident occurred around six o’clock in the evening on Thursday, June 27, according to the Operations Center of the Rescue Health Service of the Slovak Republic.
It is noted that the train travels from the capital of the Czech Republic, Prague, to the capital of Hungary, Budapest. There were more than 100 people in it, among them Ukrainians. There were eight passengers and a driver on the bus.
According to preliminary information, at the time of the accident the fuse at the railway crossing was working: the bus driver probably did not notice it.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Slovakia, Matus Shutai Eshtok, said that at 21.00 local time, the victims of the accident have not yet been identified.
