The law enforcement officer was responsible for the operational situation in the colony to prevent possible crimes or provocations. According to operational data, he often used force to find out certain information from convicts.
In particular, DBI investigators documented the use of force and moral pressure on two convicts whom he tried to persuade to cooperate. The colony worker wanted to get information about how drugs get into the colony.
When the men refused to cooperate, the law enforcement officer began hitting them in different parts of the body, accompanied by obscene language and threats. The torture and humiliation continued for several hours.
