US President Joe Biden on Saturday, June 25, signed off on strengthening security measures in the field of small arms trafficking. This was reported by the Associated Press.
“I was here 30 years ago when this country last passed important gun safety laws, and now I am here to pass the most important law in the past 30 years,” the head of state commented on his decision.
Thus, the aforementioned document:

tighten screenings on potential gun buyers aged 18 to 21;

makes it a federal crime to take and smuggle small arms by nominees;

States are encouraged to make regulations to deny the possession of handguns and rifles to individuals deemed by the court to be a danger to the public;

funded school safety and youth counseling programs;

provides a ban on the possession of firearms by persons convicted of domestic violence for at least five years.
Earlier, the U.S. Supreme Court overturned a New York state gun regime law that had existed for more than 100 years and restricted the secret possession of firearms.
