Lithuania will annually allocate a minimum of 0.25% of GDP to support the security and defense of Ukraine. Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda announced this on Wednesday, June 26.

According to him, we are talking about more than 190 million euros in the next three years, writes LRT. This decision was made at a meeting of the State Defense Council.

The country’s Defense Minister Laurynas Kasciunas noted that 0.25% was chosen as a “starting point”, therefore, in his opinion, Lithuania will exceed this figure.

“Lithuania will continue to stand firm with Ukraine until victory.

As previously reported, Lithuania has joined the coalition of countries providing assistance to Ukraine’s air defense.
