The Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs will give Ukraine 4.7 million euros to restore damaged energy facilities in the Kharkov and Nikolaev regions. The Ministry of Energy reported this on Wednesday, June 26.
The money will go to the Ukrainian Energy Support Fund. The total amount of transferred and announced contributions to the fund is more than 551 million euros.
“Denmark became the first sponsor of the Ukrainian energy support fund, which contributed to the restoration of Ukrainian energy in April 2022. We sincerely thank our partners for this ongoing position and the ongoing support areas, where energy facilities are under daily attack,” said Ukraine’s Energy Minister German Galushchenko.
On Thursday, a 24-hour blackout will take effect in all regions of Ukraine.
