Nobel laureates criticized Trump’s economic plans

An open letter from academic economists argues that Trump’s program will lead to higher inflation. At the same time, Biden’s economic plans are considered better.

Sixteen Nobel Prize-winning economists have signed a joint letter on the threats to the American and global financial systems if Donald Trump is elected as the next US president, Reuters reports.

Scientists believe that the measures announced by the Republicans in the economic field will lead to an increase in inflation. One reason is the plan to impose stricter customs restrictions on products from China. The letter also says the Trump administration is creating “fiscally irresponsible budgets.”

And the economic program of the current President Joe Biden received the approval of the evaluations from the Nobel winners: they are convinced that it is “an order of magnitude better” than his political rival.

Let’s remember that Trump previously criticized the $60 billion aid law to Ukraine. According to the former American president, there is no benefit for the United States from Ukraine winning the war.
