The State Department cited an example of “incredible success” achieved by Ukraine

Ukraine’s removal of the Russian fleet from the western Black Sea was an incredible achievement and one of Kyiv’s most important achievements. Sonata Coulter, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, said this at a press conference on Tuesday, June 25, Ukrinform reports.

“In general, I think the media coverage tends to be too negative and not focused enough on the incredible achievements that Ukraine achieved during the war. To give just one example, Russia tried to monopolize the Black Sea and cut trade routes, and Ukraine achieved an incredible success, pushing back Russian forces and making the Black Sea a stable and reliable channel for exporting goods again,” said Coulter .

According to him, the volume of exports of grain and other goods leaving the Black Sea ports of Ukraine “is an incredible illustration of one of the most important achievements achieved by Ukraine.”

A State Department spokesman said that in the long term, the United States will seek to help Ukraine acquire the capabilities and interoperability it needs “to achieve the integrated, connected future that the Ukrainian people strive for.”

It was previously reported that during the 27 months of attacks on the Russian Black Sea Fleet in temporarily occupied Crimea, Ukraine sank or seriously damaged more than a dozen large warships – a third of the fleet.
