Eight Russians died in a fire at the Platan Research Institute in Fryazino near Moscow. This was reported by the Russian pro-government news agency Interfax, citing local emergency services.
The cause of the complete fire was a violation of safety regulations, the media note.
The Russian Telegram channel Shot reported that the fire may have occurred in a room where the headlamps were collected. The company’s employees allegedly forgot to turn off the equipment and left their jobs.
Four floors of the building engulfed in flames were completely gutted, the report said.
The media note that this building houses various industries: metalworking shops, various conveyors, welding and turning shops, tool production. The complex also houses an industrial company of washing machines and others.
Of the eight dead, two jumped out of the window and the other was inside the building.
