A man caught trying to cross the border attacked military personnel in an official car after being detained in the Chernivtsi region. Chernivtsi Regional Territorial Acquisition Center (TCC) and Social Support (SP) reported this on its Facebook page.
“While riding in the back seat of a service car to clear data, he attacked military personnel and caused bodily harm, and tried to strangle the driver with the seat belt,” the TCC wrote.
An investigative team was called to subdue the man. The military called for emergency medical assistance.
“After the crime, the man tried to manipulate public opinion, pretending to be a victim, and posted the corresponding video on a social network,” TCC added.
The TCC added that the military personnel wounded by the attacker joined the ranks of the Ukrainian Armed Forces at the beginning of the full-scale attack by Russian terrorists and served in the air assault troops. Considering their state of health, they were transferred to TCC and SP.
