Despite the blackout, demand for electric cars increased 2.1 times a year.
In total, electric cars account for 12.9% of the total number of imported cars.
Tesla is in greatest demand among Ukrainians – 4,742 cars. The top three also includes Volkswagen – 3194 and Nissan – 3034 electric vehicles. The most popular models are Nissan Leaf, Tesla Model 3 and Volkswagen ID.4.
The leader among regions in the import of electric vehicles was the Lviv region – 13.5%, followed by Kyiv (13.1%) and Odessa region (9.3%).

In May 2024 alone, 4,113 battery-powered vehicles (BEVs) were added to the Ukrainian vehicle fleet, which is 68% more than in May last year.
