During his visit to China, Polish leader Xi Jinping will discuss the situation in Eastern Europe and his relations with the presidents of the Russian Federation and Belarus.
Polish President Andrzej Duda arrived in China on Saturday, June 22, where he will meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Among the main issues that the leaders of the two countries will discuss are the security situation in Eastern Europe and trade, according to the office of the Polish President.
It was noted that on Monday, Duda will meet with Xi Jinping, as well as with Chinese Prime Minister Li Qiang and head of China’s parliamentary standing committee, Zhao Lei.
“This visit is very important for our security in Europe. We know that China is a superpower, we know that it has friendly relations not only with Belarus, but also with Russia, and Russia is now the aggressor in Ukraine . And this is what I want to talk to President Xi Jinping,” said Duda.
On June 25, Duda will participate in the summer World Economic Forum in Dalian, where he will represent Poland as an attractive country for investment.
The next day in Shanghai, the Polish president will take part in the Polish-Chinese economic forum.
According to the General Statistical Office, Poland imported €47.4 billion worth of goods from China in 2023, accounting for 13.9% of total imports. But the goods were sent to China for a smaller amount – about 3.7 billion euros.
