A woman detained for desecrating the graves of Ukrainian defenders on the territory of the Askold’s Grave in Kyiv has been informed of suspicion.

The press service of the Kyiv City Prosecutor’s Office reported this today, June 21.
Suspicion was reported to a 60-year-old woman for desecration of the graves of defenders of Ukraine, committed for hooligan reasons (Part 3 of Article 297 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), the prosecutor’s office notes.
According to the investigation, yesterday, June 20, on the territory of the Askold’s grave, the suspect committed an act of vandalism on the graves of the fallen defenders of Ukraine:
- Dmitry Kotsyubailo with the call sign “Da Vinci”;
- Andrey Pilshchikov with the call sign “Juice”;
- Pavel Petrichenko.
The attacker, for hooligan reasons, struck more than 20 blows with a stick at the graves of the defenders, tore off and broke memorial plaques, and broke lamps, the report says. — Law enforcement officers found the woman on the same day and detained her in accordance with Art. 208 Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation.
A petition is now being prepared to impose a preventive measure on her.
The sanction of the article provides for up to seven years in prison.
