The flight of the balloon, moving in the airspace of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in the east, was continuously monitored by the radar stations of the Polish army.
In Russia’s Kaliningrad region, a hot air balloon fell from its cable and flew into Polish airspace. The Operational Command of the Polish Armed Forces announced this on Thursday, May 20.
“We inform you that the balloon fell from the cable and flew into Polish airspace from the Kaliningrad region. The Russian services previously reported the possibility of something penetrating this area,” the statement said.
It was noted that the flight of the balloon, moving in the airspace of the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship in the east, was constantly monitored by the radar stations of the Polish army.
It was noted that the wolf does not threaten the safety of the residents of the area where it moves, and the Operational Command continues to monitor the development of the situation.
The command did not say whether the wolf could carry out reconnaissance missions on Polish territory.
In Poland, three unidentified objects were discovered that fell from the sky. It has been suggested that these may be parts of balloons or whole balloons.
