If the negotiations require the withdrawal of Russian troops from the Ukrainian territory, they will not start, the head of the Kremlin threatened.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has said he does not intend to withdraw Russian troops from Ukrainian territory for peace negotiations. This was announced by the head of the Kremlin in Vietnam on Thursday, June 20, RosSMI reported.
“If Kyiv links negotiations with Moscow to the withdrawal of Russian troops, this will never happen,” the Russian leader emphasized.
According to Putin, “Russia is ready to continue dialogue with Ukraine based on the negotiations held in the spring of 2022 in Minsk and Istanbul.” It seems that the Russian Federation has always been in favor and has never given up on peace negotiations.
“We did not reject the negotiations but not based on any ephemeral formulas, but on the basis of the agreements reached during difficult negotiations in Istanbul and Minsk Ukrainian side,” – said the Russian dictator.
Let’s remember that on the eve of the Peace Summit in Ukraine, Putin announced the new terms of negotiations. They assume Ukraine’s abandonment of its intention to join NATO and the complete withdrawal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from the regions of Donetsk, Lugansk, Kherson and Zaporozhye.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that Putin, with his negotiation ultimatum, “multiplied by zero” all his initial statements about Russia’s intentions to end the war.
