The “supreme leader” of North Korea gave the “distinguished” guest a ride in an armored Mercedes. During the solemn trip, haters of everything Western, Putin and Kim, standing, moved into a 1.5-meter hatch. Although it was already quite crowded for the two of them, a translator also joined them third. After all, despite the “strong friendship”, the two dictators cannot exchange even a few remarks on their own.
The six-meter Mercedes S-Klasse series W221 was produced in Germany during 2005-2014. And the German elite car, of course, got into the sanctioned DPRK illegally. Daimler, the parent company of Mercedes, notes that it adheres to all embargoes, however, sales through third parties are beyond its control.
