As a result, the movement of trams No. 1 and No. 3 was delayed and car traffic along the tram line on the border of Borshchagovskaya and Zhilyanskaya streets (under the overpass) was temporarily blocked. This was reported by the press service of the KMVA.
There were no casualties or injuries as a result of the incident.
It is noted that rescuers are clearing the road and tram line under part of the Vozdukhoflotsky overpass in order to resume vehicle traffic as quickly as possible:
- specialists using special tools dismantle metal structures and spray them to remove them from the road;
- on the overpass itself – emergency elements are dismantled to prevent emergencies.
Traffic on Zhilyanskaya Street is planned to be resumed in the near future.
Repair of the overpass was planned to begin in 2024, noted the KMVA.
The press service of the State Emergency Service reported that the incident was reported at 19:17.
In addition to eight rescuers from KARS “Kiev Rescue Service”, 17 employees of the State Emergency Service and five units of fire and rescue equipment are also working on site.
