This shopping and entertainment complex is located in Simferopol and includes 16 pro-Russian television studios and radio stations. These resources regularly broadcast fake news about the Russian war against Ukraine and justify the war crimes of the invaders. In the spring of 2022, Kryuchkov organized the broadcast of a television and radio company throughout almost the entire temporarily occupied territory. The press center of the Security Service of Ukraine reported this on June 17.
The suspect also holds the position of adviser to the Russian chairman of the occupied Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, and is a member of the board of the so-called Ministry of Internal Policy, Information and Communications of the Republic of Crimea.
Investigators found that Kryuchkov was appointed general producer of TRC before the start of a full-scale war, and before that he worked for the Russian propaganda channel NTV.
In addition, the defendant actively uses his pages on social networks, where he actively calls for the occupation of all of Ukraine.
The SBU informed Kryuchkov in absentia of suspicion under three articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine: Part 6 of Art. 111-1 (collaboration activities), art. 436 (war propaganda) and Part 3 of Art. 436-2 (justification, recognition as lawful, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine).
Let us recall that on June 6, the SBU and the Office of the Prosecutor General reported in absentia a suspicion to the commander of the Dnepr group of troops of the Russian Armed Forces, Oleg Makarevich, who gave the order to blow up the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power station on the night of June 5-6, 2023.
