The Russian Railways company has announced that it has partially stopped traveling to Poland via Belarus.
Russia has reduced the volume of its goods it sends by rail from Belarus to Poland. This was announced on Friday, June 24, by the press service of the Russian Railways.
“The loading of a number of goods in transit through Belarus to Poland has been suspended,” the statement said.
Russian Railways stressed that this does not imply a complete cessation of communication traffic in Poland.
Earlier it was reported that Lithuania intends to block the transit of almost half of the goods by rail to the Kaliningrad region of the Russian Federation.
Some time later, Lithuania extended restrictions on the transportation of sanctioned goods in the Kaliningrad region, not only for rail, but also for road freight transit.
The Russian Federation called the blockade of Kaliningrad “a shameless trick of Vilnius.”
