The NATO Support and Supply Agency (NSPA), on behalf of Belgium, and Airbus Helicopters signed the contract.
The H145M is a military helicopter that can be converted in a few minutes from a light attack with guided weapons to a special operational version using rapid parachute release equipment.
The H145M is a military version of the light twin-engine H145 helicopter.
The H145M is powered by two Turbomeca Arriel 2E engines and has a Full Digital Engine Control (FADEC) system.
The helicopter is equipped with the Helionix digital avionics system, which provides a high-performance 4-axis autopilot, which significantly reduces the pilot’s workload during flights.
The extremely low noise level makes the H145M the quietest helicopter in its class.
The Belgian order provides the possibility to buy three more H145M helicopters for the country’s police.
The US Army operates about 500 H145 helicopters, according to Airbus.
H145M users also include Hungary, Serbia, Thailand and Luxembourg; Cyprus ordered six cars, Brunei and the UK made orders.
We remind you that recently it became known that Belgium will provide Ukraine with 30 F-16 fighters in 2028. The first aircraft will be delivered this year. But at the same time, Belgium does not allow F-16s to attack the Russian Federation.
