Thematic events are planned for each paragraph of the communique at the level of ministers and advisors.
Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Igor Zhovkva spoke on Facebook about Ukraine’s future plans after the Global Peace Summit held in Switzerland on June 15-16.
According to him, the next steps will be the holding of thematic events on each item at the level of ministers and advisers, where there is already a suitable readiness to organize them from several countries.
Zhovkva said they are France, Czech Republic, Turkey, Kenya, Saudi Arabia, USA, Norway, Poland, Canada, Qatar, Chile, Finland, Netherlands, Germany, and the UK.
“And after that we will go to the second Summit, which should lay the foundations for a lasting and fair peace,” said the deputy head of the OP.
Zhovkva confirmed that the document remains open for accession by every state or international organization that respects the UN Charter and international law.
“And the number of states joining the communiqué will certainly grow,” said a representative of the Office of the President.
Let us recall that the participants of the Global Peace Summit issued a joint communiqué on the foundation of peace. The final document was signed by 80 states and four organizations.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said that after the first Peace Summit, it will be months, not years, before the next summit is held. There will be Russian representatives there. Several countries have already expressed their interest in hosting it.
