Former French President Francois Hollande, who led the country from 2012-2017, announced his participation in early elections to the National Assembly (the lower house of the French parliament). He announced this on June 15 on the social network X.
“The far right has never been so close to power. Our country is in political turmoil. Faced with such a serious situation, I have decided to run in the first constituency of Corrèze,” wrote the former French leader.
Hollande mentioned that he will run from New Popular Frontwhich united the leftist political forces.
