Russian troops are constantly trying to control the whole of Severodonetsk and are also attacking Lisichansk.
Russian troops are trying to capture the entire territory of the Luhansk region. In the situation in the most “hot” points of the front as of Friday, June 24, said the spokesman of the Ministry of Defense Alexander Motuzyanyk.
According to him, the fighting continues in Severodonetsk. At the same time, journalist Yuri Butusov claims that the Armed Forces of Ukraine left the city at night.
“Despite the growing losses of personnel and equipment, the Russians continue to dominate the Defense Forces in certain directions many times over, allowing them to achieve some tactical successes,” Motuzyanyk said.
Another goal of the Russian Federation, mentioned in the Ministry of Defense, is the military siege of the Lisichansk region. According to him, the artillery advantage gives Russia tactical victories.
According to Motuzyanyk, the main objective of the enemy at this stage is to reach the administrative borders of the Lugansk and Donetsk regions, hold the captured areas of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions and ensure the stability of the land corridor along the occupied Crimean peninsula. In addition, Russia continues to block Ukraine’s maritime communications in the northwestern part of the Black Sea.
The hottest sectors in front are communities in the southern and southeastern direction from Severodonetsk.
Russia’s military actions in other directions are mainly characterized as disruptive maneuvers so that the Armed Forces of Ukraine do not move reinforcements to hot spots.
In addition, the enemy has increased the number of air raids and continued missile attacks on civilian infrastructure.
Earlier, the head of the Lugansk OVA, Sergei Gaidai, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine needs to stay away from Severodonetsk. The enemy had already launched an attack on Lisichansk from the south.
