The United States will allocate more than $1.5 billion to Ukraine. to enhance energy and humanitarian needs. The funds will be provided through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the State Department.

US Vice President Kamala Harris announced this today, June 15, as part of the peace summit and meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, the White House press service reports.
New American aid will include:
- $500 million new funding for energy assistance and redirection of $324 million. previously announced funds for emergency energy needs in Ukraine. These funds will be used to repair war-damaged energy infrastructure, expand power generation, encourage private sector investment, and protect energy infrastructure;
- more than $379 million in humanitarian assistance to meet the urgent needs of refugees, internally displaced persons and affected communities. This support includes food assistance, health services, water, sanitation and hygiene services, etc., as well as agricultural and livelihood assistance to enable families to restore income and meet basic needs;
- The State Department, in cooperation with Congress, plans to provide an additional $300 million. in support of civil security of Ukraine, to provide life-saving equipment to Ukrainian border guards and law enforcement officers. This assistance is intended to help them operate safely on the front lines, defend Ukrainian territory, rescue citizens targeted by the Kremlin, protect critical infrastructure, and investigate more than 120,000 reported cases of war crimes and other atrocities.
Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, the United States has already allocated more than $3.2 billion. for humanitarian aid and about 1.5 billion dollars. to rebuild the energy sector, ensure clean and reliable energy, and enhance transparency in the sector.
