Deal and Ukrspirt tenders: seven suspects will appear in court

The investigation established that in 2017-2020, several private companies won the tenders of the State Enterprise Ukrspirt.

The case of 55 million UAH of losses of state enterprises Ukrspirta for buying coke-chemical boiler fuel at inflated prices, sent it to court. Seven participants in the scheme were tried. This was reported by NABU and SAP.

“Three of them at the time of the crime were working in high positions in the State Enterprise. Ukrspirtthe other four are businessmen and accountants of private companies,” said NABU.

The investigation found that in 2017–2020, in the tenders of state enterprises Ukrspirt Some private companies have already won, having sold more than 20,000 tons of fuel to the business. To cover up the scheme, technical participants took part in auctions.

According to one scheme, the businessmen produced the fuel themselves and sold it as if it had been bought from the manufacturers. According to another, the fuel was bought directly from a related manufacturer and also sold at high prices.

As of May 30, 2023, seven people, three of whom worked in senior positions at the State Enterprise Ukrspirtnow they have suspicions about the article Allocation of property (Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code).

The suspects now face imprisonment for seven to 12 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years and confiscation of property.
