Before the start of the full-scale invasion of Russia, the woman headed the Center for Professional Development of Teaching Workers of the Kupyansky City Council. During the occupation of the regional center, she went over to the side of the enemy, and from July 2022 she continued to lead the institution captured at that time.
While in office, the collaborator was involved in the development of Kremlin “manuals” for teachers of local schools. In the brochures, the defendant demanded that teachers completely switch to Russian “standards” of education.
For example, she described in detail the hostile methodology of teaching students the falsified history of the formation of Ukrainian statehood. On the pages of the publication, the collaborator taught how to justify Russia’s armed aggression and “explain” the war crimes of the Russians.
To introduce “innovations,” the defendant, as part of the delegation, met with the “First Deputy Minister of Education of the LPR.” This event was widely covered by pro-Kremlin media and social networks.
During her dismissal, Kupyanskaya’s collaborator hastily moved to Kyiv, where she registered as an internally displaced person. Subsequently, she got a job as a computer science teacher in one of the schools in the Dnieper district of the capital.
Possible involvement in the dissemination of hostile propaganda among schoolchildren of an educational institution in Kyiv is being verified. The attacker faces up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of property, the SBU reported.
Based on the collected evidence, Security Service investigators informed her of suspicion under Part 5 of Art. 111-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (collaboration activities).
