In the coming days, power outages will become longer, because one of the thousand-ton power units of the nuclear power plant will be taken out for repairs.

Energoatom reported on June 13 that the deficit in the energy system could increase.

The company’s press service issued an official statement:

Given this and the increase in electricity consumption in July, the generation deficit in the energy system may increase. But on the other hand, it is precisely this repair schedule that will make it possible to minimize the duration of forced power outages in the fall.

Energoatom notes that this year repairs are being carried out at eight power units of the Rivne, South Ukrainian and Khmelnitsky nuclear power plants.
