Special operations forces hit the newest communications station of the Russians for the first time in the history of the war. The MTR press service reported this on the morning of Thursday, June 13.
The operators of the 3rd MTR Regiment, while working in one of the operational directions, recognized the Russian digital radio relay station R-416GM. It is known that the Russian army adopted this complex for service in 2018. The mobile station is designed to improve the efficiency of radio relay communication units in the field. On an enemy target, our operators inflicted fire damage on one of the latest developments to enter service on the MTR. As a result of accurate work, the R-416GM station was hit. Because of this, the connection between the command post and the units of the terrorist army was broken,” said the commentary on the published video of the precision strike by the Ukrainian defenders.
The MTR press service emphasizes that this R-416GM station was the first to be hit by the Ukrainian military during the war.
