The Contact Group for the Defense of Ukraine (Ramstein format) will hold its 23rd meeting on Thursday, June 13.
The topic of discussion at the Ramstein format meeting scheduled for June 13 in Brussels will be strengthening Ukraine’s air defense. Sabrina Singh, Deputy Press Secretary of the US Department of Defense, said this on Wednesday, June 12, Ukrinform reports.
He noted that air defense for Ukraine in the face of continued missile attacks from the Russian Federation is a priority for Ukraine.
“This is what is needed – whether in the form of Patriot or in another form. So I am sure that this will be the topic of discussion at the UDCG meeting tomorrow,” she said.
It is known that Pentagon chief Lloyd Austin, together with the head of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, has flown to Brussels.
Norway will allocate 240 million euros to Ukraine for measures to strengthen air defense.
We remind you that, according to media reports, Germany will be able to transfer the Patriot anti-aircraft missile system to Ukraine no earlier than the end of June. The delivery may coincide with the transfer of F-16 fighters.
It has also been reported that Ukraine has received Patriot air defense missiles from its allies.
