Antonov Airlines, together with PROAIR, successfully delivered the Türksat 6A satellite from Ankara (Turkey) to Florida (USA). This was reported by the company’s press service.
The air transport mission lasted 39 hours.
“The project is of national importance, as Türksat 6A is the first geostationary communications satellite developed in Turkey, which aims to expand the country’s space capabilities,” the company said.
It was noted that mission logistics were designed for 6 months and transportation had to be completed in time for launch.
Let’s recall that in 2022, the Ukrainian An-124-100-150 Ruslan aircraft delivered a telecommunications satellite on board from Toulouse, France, to the NASA launch and landing site in Titusville, USA, for the aerospace company SpaceX.
