Jin, from BTS, will hold an in-person event with ARMYs, created by him, in celebration of BTS FESTA 2024
One of the biggest moments of this year’s BTS FESTA will be the in-person event with Jin, oldest member of BTS, who will hold a meet & greet where he can hug a thousand selected AMRYs. However, live on Weverse after his military discharge, which took place this Wednesday, 12th (in the South Korean time zone), the idol revealed that he had to insist that the idea be taken forward, negotiating for months with the organizers of the celebration.
As this time I am alone in charge of FESTA, I contacted the organizer around October, November last year. But they were honest and said they already planned everything, so there wasn’t much they could do. They asked me if I had any ideas. I said I wanted to do a free hug event, but they said no. So I asked what they planned to do and they said, ‘We usually rent a park, don’t we? We plan to do it there,’ and we stuck with it for about a month.”
According to the idol, “there were security issues for this type of event” and after further conversations, they came to the conclusion that it would be better for the dynamics to take place in a closed environment and with a limited number of people, which Jin suggested that there be 3 thousand, but in the end, they agreed that the possible number would be a thousand ARMYs.

Finally, Jin he reinforced that this is a desire he had, and that he hopes that the other members of BTS will not be asked to hold the same type of event when they are released from their duties in the army, making the idea become a burden.
The hug event was my opinion, and I don’t think the other members will do it. I did this because I wanted to and I hope that this situation will not be passed on to the other members. I don’t want people to say, ‘Jin did this, why aren’t they doing this?'”
In addition to hugs, Jin will also perform a show for 4 thousand ARMYs drawn through the Weverse platform. The event will take place at the Jamsil arena at the Jamsil Sports Complex, in Seoul, tomorrow, the 13th, in celebration of BTS’ 11th anniversary of debut.
