As politicians say, Popular Front will unite “all the forces of the humanitarian left, trade unions, associations and citizens.” But the question remains who will lead the alliance in the first elections announced by President Macron. Coalition Popular Front noted that it will nominate common candidates in the first round.
“We express our readiness to start this fight together to offer an alternative to Emmanuel Macron’s policies and to fight the racist far-right,” Manuel Bompard said after the agreement was reached.
As is known, the left alliance NUPES was created in the 2022 parliamentary elections, but then collapsed as most leftist parties criticized the movement’s dominance. France was not conquered.
