As a result of the bad weather, the sidewalk was partially destroyed, but the main structure of the road was not damaged, and traffic across the bridge continued as usual.
In the Ternopil region, the storm washed away an earthen embankment on a bridge in the village of Strusov on the N-18 Ivano-Frankivsk – Buchach – Ternopil highway. The consequences of bad weather are eliminated. The Service for Renewal and Infrastructure Development in Ternopil Region reported this on Wednesday, June 12.
It was reported that due to the bad weather, the sidewalk was partially destroyed, but the main structure of the road was not damaged, and vehicles passed through the bridge as before.
The Service also added that this facility has not yet been put into operation, it is undergoing renovation. The contractor performs all repairs at its own expense.
“The main reason for the erosion of the earthen embankment was local heavy rains in the Ternopil region. More than a week’s worth of rain fell in three hours,” the report said.
Earlier it was reported that on Wednesday morning in Ukraine, due to bad weather, technological violations and shelling by Russia, 727 settlements in 11 regions were cut off from power.
