The military prosecutor’s office of the Southern region opened criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Art. 296 (gross violation of public order) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Police identified and interviewed witnesses and eyewitnesses. Some participants in the incident were invited to the police station, where law enforcement officers are working with them. The Odessa region police reported this on Facebook.
The Odessa TCC and SP commented on the incident. They published a statement on Facebook saying that the TCC mobile team detained a man who allegedly refused to provide documents. An hour after this, people in medical clothes arrived at the military registration and enlistment office, claiming that they had come to respond to a call from this citizen and insisted on his hospitalization, citing an unconfirmed diagnosis. The police who arrived at the scene detained the doctors to provide an explanation.
The Territorial Recruiting Center claims that “unknown civilians” provoked the fight. During the conflict, a serviceman and an emergency service representative were injured.
An ambulance representative, after a mass clash between doctors and TCC employees, said that Odessa could be left without an ambulance, because none of the workers have a deferment from mobilization, and the management does not promise it. Ambulance drivers have already begun to quit en masse.
Let us remind you that on June 11 in Odessa, an ambulance crew was held in the premises of the TCC for three hours. Other ambulances arrived to help the doctors and staged a rally. During the event, a massive fight broke out between doctors and military personnel.
