The question of mobilization exists in Ukrainian society, and the process itself has been ongoing since the beginning of a full-scale war. If citizens want to preserve their state, then they need to defend it. Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky announced this on June 11 during a joint press conference with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz.
As for mobilization, our mobilization is carried out through martial law. It’s been going on since day one. I see that this issue is in society, not the first day of the war. But if we want to preserve our state, then we need to defend it,” the head of state noted.
Let us recall that on June 7, Minister of Internal Affairs Igor Klimenko said that the Cabinet of Ministers agreed on the decision to reserve 90% of the personnel of the State Emergency Service and the National Police. Thus, 10% of employees of the State Emergency Service have the choice to mobilize into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard or the State Border Service. And 10% of the police officers subject to mobilization can join the “Lyut” brigade or the additionally created three combat brigades of the National Police.
