According to the counterintelligence of the SBU, the enemy was interested in the coordinates of the workshops of Motor Sich PJSC and another machine-building plant that produces components for the Ukrainian Armed Forces aviation.
First of all, the aggressor needed the locations of design bureaus and production facilities, which were relocated after a full-scale invasion and produce aircraft engines for combat helicopters and UAVs.
To obtain intelligence data, the Russian intelligence service attracted its agent – a machine mechanic at one of the Motor Sich industrial facilities.
At the direction of the occupiers, their “krit” walked around the territory of the enterprise and recorded the location of production workshops and warehouses with finished products.
Then the bastard marked the “necessary” locations on Google maps for their subsequent transfer to the FSB.
He was preparing to send the corresponding “report” to the aggressor through his brother, an unemployed local resident who was in direct contact with a career employee of the Russian special service.
If they received intelligence information, the occupiers planned to carry out targeted missile attacks on defense facilities in Zaporozhye.
However, counterintelligence officers of the SBU exposed both traitors and caught them red-handed when the defendants were preparing a communication session to transfer intelligence to the FSB.
The Security Service also took comprehensive measures to ensure the capacity of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine.
According to the investigation, both defendants came to the attention of the Russian special service because of their father, an ideological racist living in a temporarily occupied part of the region.
After remote recruitment, the agents were brought into direct contact with an FSB representative. For communication, we used anonymous chats in a popular messenger.
SBU investigators informed both detainees of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 (high treason committed under martial law) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The perpetrators are in custody. They face life imprisonment.
