90 states and organizations have registered to participate in the “Global Peace Summit” according to the formula of Vladimir Zelensky, which will be held in Switzerland on June 15-16/

    .

The Swiss government announced this on June 10 today.

BBC Geneva correspondent Imogen Fawkes recalls that the full list of participating countries will only be published on Friday, June 14, in the evening, but it is already clear that China will not participate in the conference: Beijing has stated that it will not participate , if Russia is not at the conference (Moscow was not invited).

As Vladimir Zelensky previously explained, Ukraine does not want Moscow to disrupt the process. Therefore, Russian representatives, according to him, will be involved through intermediaries at the next stage.

Responding to criticism on this score, Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis called the conference a “first step.” According to him, the key items on the summit agenda are prisoners of war, food and nuclear security. More conferences are expected to follow, Kassis added.
