Russia confirmed damage to the plane at the military airfield in Akhtubinsk. Now the fighter cannot carry out combat missions and take part in attacks against Ukraine. The Russian public page Gulagu.net writes about this with reference to its own sources.
Ukrainian researchers, based on open source data, claim that before the attack, Russia had only six Su-57s ready for use. Approximately as many of these fighters are not ready for flights.
This aircraft is capable of carrying the X-69 missile – it was with this weapon that the Trypillya thermal power plant in the Kyiv region was destroyed. The aircraft can also carry KAB-1500 guided bombs.
Russia itself uses Su-57 fighters very carefully due to their small number. But it is very difficult to produce this equipment due to Western sanctions.
Let us recall that on June 9, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced the defeat of the Su-57 multi-role fighter on the territory of the Akhtubinsk airfield in the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation. This airport is located 589 km from the combat line.
