On Saturday, June 8, a Su-57 multirole fighter was hit on the territory of the Akhtubinsk airfield in the Astrakhan region of Russia, located 589 km from the combat line. This is evidenced by satellite images of the aircraft parking at the airfield, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported.
The published photos show that on June 7, the Su-57 was still undamaged, but already on June 8, explosion craters and characteristic spots of fire caused by fire damage were recorded there.
As you know, the Su-57 is the most modern Russian fighter, carrying the Kh-59 and Kh-69 missiles. The Russian army has only a few units of such equipment in service. The defeat of the Su-57 is the first such case in history.
Let us recall that in February it became known that the Russian army began to use the latest X-69 cruise missiles to bombard Ukraine. These missiles can be launched by Su-30MK, Su-34, Su-35S, MiG-35S, MiG-29K aircraft and the latest Su-57 fighter.
