The Russian dictator is threatening all of Europe, but the United States will not allow these plans to come true, the American president said.
US President Joe Biden, after meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron on Saturday, June 8, said that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will not stop in Ukraine, and that the whole of Europe may be under threat. At the same time, Biden noted that “the United States will not allow this,” Politico reports.
In press statements after their private meeting, Biden and the French president predicted political unity on the war in Ukraine.
Macron thanked Biden for the US playing an “important role” in helping Ukraine.
Biden reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to the military effort in support of Ukraine.
“You know that Putin will not stop in Ukraine. All of Europe is under threat. The United States will not allow this,” Biden said.
The press announcements came after a private meeting between the two leaders and capped two days of largely ceremonial business for Biden.
Let’s remember that on Friday, President Vladimir Zelensky met with Biden in Paris. The presidents discussed the situation on the battlefield in Ukraine and the possibility of attacking military targets on Russian territory.
