On Friday, June 7, in the city of Stary Oskol, an attempt was made on the life of Gennady Matsegora, who held the position of mayor of Kupyansk, Kharkov region, from the banned party “Opposition Platform – During Life.” This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
Intelligence officers note that the collaborator voluntarily agreed to full cooperation with the Russian invaders. In June 2022, he signed the so-called protocol for the creation of the occupation Kharkov administration and publicly announced it.
However, after the de-occupation of the city, Matsegora fled with the Russians to the Belgorod region. There, the dictatorship provided him with reinforced security, which still did not save him.
Now surgeons in Moscow have been trying for the second day to save the traitor’s life, but his condition is critical.
Let us recall that in May in Berdyansk the car of a collaborator who worked in one of the correctional colonies was blown up. The traitor, who worked in the local dungeon, died on the spot.
