Switzerland will express its support in the field of digitalization and e-government at the next Ukraine reconstruction conference, which will take place on June 11 and 12.
On June 7, the Swiss government allocated 58.7 million Swiss francs (60.6 million euros) to continue supporting Ukraine in the field of digitalization and e-government over the next four years (2024-2028). This was reported by the press service of the Swiss government.
The funding will come from the regular international cooperation budget and will focus primarily on projects in regions directly affected by the war and essential for the future reconstruction of the country. Some of the key areas include health, education and humanitarian demining.
It was noted that Switzerland will announce its support in the field of digitalization and e-government at the next conference on the restoration of Ukraine, which will take place on June 11 and 12, 2024 in Berlin.
It was previously reported that Switzerland plans to allocate 5 billion Swiss francs (about 5 billion euros) for the restoration of Ukraine. This amount must be allocated before 2035.
Let’s remember that Switzerland supported the transfer of Russian assets to Ukraine. We are talking about more than $8 billion in reserves and assets of the Russian Central Bank.
